The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

It is absolutely FREEZING. What is up with this weather? It definately was not THIS COLD last year... Last year on Veteran's Day, it was not bordering on snowing weather! It is insane. I was to go away to a college in California or Florida, just to escape the coldness. Long Island just should not be this cold.

Anyways, I have no life during this week because it is finally Tech Week (aka Hell Week). Our In-School is on Wednesday and the Opening is on Thursday. However, this may mean that I will have to completely b.s. through some of my assignments. At least after this week, everything's going to be over. No wait, I lied, there's always All-County, and then the musical after that. I don't even plan on using music after high school. Yet my schedule is always filled with activities for the music/theatre department. WTH.

SAT prep classes in the morning are killer... I feel like I completely forgot how to do the English section! But I got a perfect score on the first math section I took, so I am fairly happy. I just hope my awesome English grammar skills will improve in time...

The good things is that with the PSAT's and the SAT language tests over, I do not have to worry about another test until the March SAT's! Awesome.... Well, there's midterms, but whatever. No one counts them. I don't, at least. I am a bit worried about AP Bio since we're not learning anything right now. But whatever, it's a school test. It's not IMPORTANT... like the standarized national tests!

Important dates:
Worst '07- 11/14~16
English Synthesis Essay- End of November (gotta hop on that....)
Winter Concert- 12/something.... whatEVER.
Winter Retreat- 12/27~29
All county- 1/8~12 or 16~19... hmmm....
Midterms- End of January

Too... much... work

I'm pretty much convinced that my math professor is
a. on drugs
b. was on drugs recently
or
c. did seriously hard-core partying during the 70's
None of my assignments so far made any sense. This one actually seemed like it was making sense in the beginning, but turned weird. What's weirder is that I actually got a 100 on the last assignment and I'm not sure what I did right.

FUN.

Physics is really hard to do if you don't have a calculator. I miss my TI-83. It had absolutely nothing in it, but I still miss it. I'm gonna ask my teacher if I can use the school's calculator because, technically, I lost it in his class. Plus I don't think I have the time to go out and buy one before the PSAT's (gulp) this Saturday.

FUN.

U.S..... god, U.S. history. Does anything get interesting in between the Revolution and the Civil War?

FUN.

The Scarlet Letter was atrocious the first time and unbearable the second time around. Doing it in school sucks even more because you actually have to read in to Nathaniel Hawthorne's language even though he was just another white guy who had a big case of "i'm-so-supreme-i-understand-more-than-you-do".

FUN.

Back Alley Tech Rehearsal Tomorrow. Enough Said.

FUN.

*sigh*... At least I have the bazaar to look forward to. I'll stuff myself with food to forget my worries.

This is what we do after school...

Mwahahaha.... FIRE!!!

Yes, we set water on fire.

Homecoming pictures (?) -mostly me asking julia to play around with my DiCa settings so it's better, like her's.

Since it's just a picture of the back of everyone's head, I don't think anyone's gonna come stalk one of us.... but just in case, I'm sorry....

Weeeeeeee.....

My computer is being a bitch again.

It's not playing audio/video for me... and I'm very frustrated because all the windows sounds are fine.

I don't really use this

BUT. I don't wanna do my apush hw, so I'm gonna post something....
Hm, I guess I can put up random pics from my trip.

I had some chocolate non-caffenated concoction of some sort in a Dunkin Donuts, after being drenched in the intermitten rain (sonagi) after coming out of the glasses store and taking a walk through Jagalchi. It was good. I was horrified at the price of the drink, however, even though it pretty much cost the same in the U.S., probably. I was just expecting the dirt-cheap prices that used to be there when I left Korea. Damn IMF and exchange rates, you screwed me over again!

The b-e-a-utiful island of Namhae, where I stayed at this really ugly but interesting sports hotel. My dad's friend owned a house here, so we went to a lot of restaurants, got a decent tour, and I got to see a seafood auction, even though the weather was bad. Also, I saw this art gallery place and we passed by places where, according to the taxi driver who drove us around, "Fantasy Couple", a popular Korean drama, was filmed.

At the art gallery's gift shop, I found this lovely coconut piggy bank! It's the year of the pig, so a lot of pig-themed souveniers were being sold. I wanted to buy one- it wasn't even that expensive!- but I was afraid that it was gonna break between all the luggage, so I couldn't. I still can't let go. Piggy~

Finally, because I'm too damn lazy, this is a picture I took when I went to Koba BBQ (I think?) when I visited my cousin in Seoul. They were really pushing the tortillas on us. The tortilla wasn't big enough and it wasn't the best I've tasted, but it was good enough. The salsa was much like pickled radish from jjajangmyun-jib and added no heat. However, I found that the grilled beef, a spoon of the faux-salsa, and a piece of kimchi made the right combination! Yay~ The warm chewy tortilla and the crunchy spicy kimchi- who knew it would make such a great taste?

CYworld -_-

Cyworld sucks.

The message boards are loaded with stupid self-obsessive people who write mean stuff to attract other people's attention so that people will visit their hompy.

My password keeps getting screwed up. I tried to find my password through e-mail, but cy isn't sending it to me.

This entire month feels like a parade of technological errors.

BS.
BS, BC!!!!!!
