SingShot Sucks.

So today, I stumbled on to this "very cool" website called SingShot, which is basically like karaoke combined with Soundclick. Apparently, it used to be a site where you had to pay. However, they released a new beta version so it's free as long as you register. As my karaoke obsession has not dwindled from Andrew singing "Move Along" non-stop on SingStar, of course I registered right away.

The site has a decent amount of songs. There's not many recent songs, of course, but most karaoke favorites are on there. It's actually not bad for a free site.

But oh. My. God! I know the website is beta testing- but it's so slow! And you pretty much encounter a server failure notice half the time you click on something. It's very frustrating.

Plus, sometimes my microphone is not in sync with the website. It's really annoying when my voice comes out 4 seconds too late. Despite the fact I've been on for hours, I have yet to record one song because of these errors.

It's been hailed as the YouTube of online karaokes, the next hot site.

In my opinion?

Not until they fix those bugs.
